We took some supermarket honey and some bread yeast and brewed it into a rudimentary mead. We used 2.5L soda bottles as our carboys, and a loose screw-on top as our “airlock”. [...]
Well, that was a lot of buildup for nothing. Typhoon Wipha basically evaporated before it got anywhere near us. It did some damage in Taiwan and along the coast, but we didn’t get anything more than some fairly heavy rain. Now it’s blue sky.
Tomorrow should be interesting. Typhoon Wipha, currently a Class 4 Typhoon, is headed towards China. It should make landfall a few hours south of Shanghai, in the early morning tomorrow.
